hey hijabi!

salaam! today is back to dreary weather here in Chicago. rain pouring and even expected snow tomorrow! on the bright side, i went to get my nails done today and found a beautiful plum color to use for the transition from spring to summer. i liked the way it turned out so much, i used it for this week’s color wheel!

salaam! this is a day late since yesterday was a busy day! we went to a restaurant here in Chicago called Conoce Mi Panama and it was so wonderful! Panamanian food is Carribbean-Latino food with great spices and flavors. the owner of the restaurant was Muslim, Alhamdulillah! he was so happy to see us and talked to us about the Muslim community in Panama. i had no idea that there was such a thriving Muslim community there! are there any readers from Panama? i would love to hear from you.

tonight i am finishing up homework and watching funny television (i simply cannot get enough of The Office) and wanted to create a color wheel of tie dye! since it is finally getting warmer and sunnier here, i am really starting to like tie dye again. it is usually considered casual but you can totally dress it up with dark shoes and accessories. aren’t these flats great?

as the weather is getting warmer, i am wanting to wear more nudes. these items give off a warm hue and with the sun shining, they would look amazing!
